She quirked her lips, pondering his idea and couldn’t find a single reason why they couldn’t do what he suggested. Walking in the park and talking seemed like a perfectly reasonable way to spend however long this outing was supposed to go for. “So basically we’re playing twenty questions, but in person instead of online,” she mused, saying it out loud to make sure she wasn’t missing out on anything. It didn’t hurt to be careful. “And I’ll agree to the honesty policy.”
It was about time she’d started doing that one considering how often she’d been forced to fudge the truth. There was no reason for that in Lawrence though. She wasn’t the distraction and he wasn’t trying to create millions of hybrids or any other nefarious scheme. At least she didn’t think he was currently planning anything and Caroline really hoped she was right about that. Though she didn’t want to dwell too long on why exactly she was so eager to believe that.
“I’ll even be nice and let you start with the questions this time,” she offered, smiling before she started walking on the path. “Though, I think we should both be able to skip questions if we’re not wanting to answer them.” Considering how often she was able to push his buttons and vice versa, it was probably a good idea to have that be one of the conditions.
