The adrenaline had finally worn off and now Sarah was realizing the full weight of everything that had happened to her in the last hour or so before she'd suddenly found herself here. Not to mention what she'd been told about this place, about Lucifer and demons. Sarah was still thinking she'd finally cracked and this was some delusion. The numb shock was also starting to fade as she finally began to realize the implications of what had happened at home. Sarah was somewhat inwardly chiding herself for having even thought about taking the deal Rachel had offered. She should've stuck with her gut instinct instead of allowing the emotional turmoil of having witnessed her birth mother's death then killing Helena sway her decision. Of course, she'd only been thinking of Kira, of her daughter's safety because she wanted her to have a better life than she did. A mother's instinct to protect her child did tend to override most other things. If Cosima hadn't called her when she did, Sarah would've signed not only her life away, but also her daughter's.
But what life did Sarah really have? It was written in her DNA that she was property. Property. Did that even mean she had control over her life? Property wasn't self-governing, property was owned and used by others. Sarah didn't like that train of thought whatsoever, but it was a harsh reality she'd have to deal with both here and when she got back home. If she got back home. Apparently people could stay here for an extended amount of time. Sarah didn't know if she should be relieved or not at the prospect of remaining here for a while. Truthfully, she didn't know what to think about this, so she just sat there in the apartment she'd chosen. Before she'd come up, she'd found the kitchen and grabbed some ice out of the freezer. With the adrenaline having started to fade, she was starting to hurt from her fight with Helena.
So Sarah just sat on the couch pressing the ice to her right cheek that had a large bruise forming on it. In fact, the bruise was almost the same size as her cheek. Her nose had been bleeding, but it had stopped, though some evidence of it remained. Her bottom lip had also been cut and had bled, but wasn't bleeding any longer. Then around her neck she had a pattern of bruises forming from a chain that Helena had wrapped around her throat. It all was starting to hurt, but Sarah was just going with it. Then Andy had offered company and food, which Sarah wasn't about to decline. Food would do her some good, and given the fact Felix wasn't here, she should accept help from someone because Sarah didn't like being alone when she was this bad off. So she sat and waited for Andy to come, though she knew it wouldn't be overly long before he arrived.
