Mac had sort of lost himself in his head, waiting for Mercy to show up. He was still sitting leaned up against the diner. He could tell Adam as still there, even though his eyes were closed, sensing his presence nearby. Mac wasn't sure if that was a wolf-thing or not, but regardless, it was kind of comforting. He liked knowing he wasn't alone. Being stuck here was bad, but had he been stuck here by himself? He shook away the thought.
He'd heard a few cars roll by in their time there, but the one he heard now sounded closer and caught his attention more than the others. His eyes popped open and he saw an old, beatup car pulling to a stop in front of the diner. "Mercy?" he said, looking up at Adam, as if for confirmation that it was her.
