There was something reassuring about his voice. Mac couldn't quite place what it was, but it made him believe Adams words. Not just wanting to believe them, but really, truly believing them, like he knew they really would be fine in the end. Somehow. Adam would make sure they were, one way or another. Because as far as Mac was concerned, Adam as the leader. It was sort of in his job description--he was the Alpha.
"Magic...more powerful than the fae?" Even for someone as new to the supernatural world as Mac, that alone was a scary thought. What could be more powerful than the fae? Weren't they supposed to be one of the most powerful sort out there? What could possibly out-magic them? And what did that mean for everybody else?
The order that Adam gave made Mac relax again. Something about that pull that he had as Alpha, Mac assumed. Not that he was complaining. He'd rather be kept in check than risk anything else. "Satan," he said, voice barely above a whisper as he shook his head. "this is crazy."
"Of course we will." He said, nodding slightly, looking up at Adam. He wished he felt as confident as he sounded. "I'm really glad you're here, Adam." he said, giving the older man the slightest of smiles.
