She managed to relax a little once she determined that Klaus wasn't going to lash out the way she had at him. Her inability to keep her honesty to herself around him wasn't going to get Matt hurt at the moment and for that she was grateful. There were only so many times you could poke a bear before it went for your jugular and she seemed to be really good at poking. Caroline knew that part of the reason she was doing so was because of Elijah's revelation from the other night and what he had said scared here. Frightened her to the very core. If she'd just been some fancy little challenge, Caroline had no doubt Klaus would have been able to give up the battle of wills they were engaged in after the fifth rejection, but love. Did anyone give up on that?
"I think you'd do well at college and if we can figure out how the whole sun ring spell works then maybe we can get one for...erm." She paused, wondering for a second if it'd be a good idea to mention Vicki around Klaus, but she was pretty sure he could've deduced the fact the two were siblings from the conversation on the boards by then. "Vicki. Then she could go too if she wanted."
She offered her friend another apologetic smile before turning her attention back to the painting. "The first world war. Was he involved in that? It's almost like he was seeking solace in this one. Like he was striving for peace of mind." Or at least that was what she was getting from it. She cast another glance in Klaus' direction, wondering if she was right about this one.
