They'd had such a long lunch that Matt knew she was having second and probably third thoughts about going to the museum at all. He'd held back from putting in his two cents about the situation. She already knew how he felt about it. And it wasn't like he had a lot of room to talk considering his relationship -- non-relationship? -- friendship? -- with Rebekah.
The one that he had lost sleep over the previous night, and that had been haunting the back of his mind since their conversation yesterday. He'd honestly thought she'd known why he'd killed Finn, what they had all been attempting to do. He was pretty sure that Klaus knew, at any rate, and if nothing else, he was surprised he hadn't filled his sister in if for no other reason but to keep her away from him and away from Stefan Salvatore.
But Matt had never really understood what made Klaus tick, and frankly, he didn't really want to.
He nodded when Caroline spoke, following her over to the painting she was looking at. "It's fine," he said quietly, studying the picture, too.
