Jeremy was more than a bit thrilled when he had seen Vicki on the boards. It was a nice distraction from the fact he would be on borrowed time when he returned home. He had barely scribbled a note out to Elena and Jenna to let them and anyone else know where he was going before he made a bee line for the complex. He needed to get Vicki one of the amulets to keep her safe. Vicki. His first love. He didn't care what Elena said about Vicki. Sure she was troubled but weren't they all given the town they lived in? Besides, some people needed help to find themselves and Jeremy wanted to be there for Vicki. You don't just give up on people you care about.
With the amulet secured in his pocket, he headed for the library, trying to hurry. Hopefully she wasn't feeling too cooped up inside to hide from the sun. Maybe when she learned control and such they could find someone to make her a ring like the Salvatores... But he knew she'd need to earn it.
So Jeremy was in a relatively good mood when he rounded the corner to the library. He saw a man sitting with Vicki (who was thankfully in the shade on the steps) and he started to get a little jealous when he slowed and realized he recognized that hair and slight profile. Kol. His jaw clenched but he refused to be frightened off. He had his ring on and given Kol was supernatural he'd be fine. He moved up behind Kol, having no illusions that the two vampires hadn't heard him coming already.
"This is one of the Originals I told you about Vicki." He moved past Kol and sat down next her before turning his gaze to said Original. "He and I aren't on the best of terms so I think it might be best if one of us leaves." He held Kol's gaze, grateful for the vervain he kept on him still.
