"Creative and artsy, hm?" The terms on their own reminded him of Nik, but the incredibly brief moment of wonder tickling the back of his mind lasted only long enough to be swept away by the realization that this girl likely wasn't even from Mystic Falls. However slight, there was a momentary flash of confusion at the mention of Stephanie Meyer. He wasn't sure who that was, or to hat she was actually referring. "Who needs it anyway?" Mostly that esponse was based from her own reaction to her own reference, but perhaps it would be enough. He had far too much pop culture to catch up on. He made a mental note of hat, eciding it was perhaps time to remedy a bit of it at least.
"Exactly. Nothing important going on anyway." he admitted with a faint smirk of his own. And...there it was. The reaction he'd been hoping for. If he were feeling particularly devious in that moment, he might have played dumb for a but but for now, he was more interested in where this conversation was going. "I am," he nodded, that smirk still planted firmly in place. "Kol. Pleasure, love." The girl's mention of a "Jer" did not go unnoticed. If she knew, or knew of, Lexi and Lee, perhaps he was from his own home world. And if that were the case... Oh, he would just have to tick round and wait for this boyfriend of hers to show up.*
An amused chuckle escaped him at that comment, "Oh, I assure you, I had one of those pieces of bling long before the Salvatores were ever even in the picture." There was a bit of a smug tone to that statement that Kol just couldn't kee contained. He was an Original and, whether she knew that or not, it was still something he was rightfully proud of.
