When he said it wasn't him, explained what had happened, there was a truth to his words she could hear in his voice. Could he fake that? Probably. Once you'd lived long enough, you could fake just about anything. But she didn't believe him to be faking, if only because she knew the rest of the story, the part neither of them knew about. "If it wasn't you, then I know what happened. I... I thought he was bluffing, it was all bullshit, a ploy to fuck with my head... A week or more went and nothing happened. Fucking bastard, giving me a false sense of security. It was Peter. This wasn't even meant for you, Hal, it was for me and--" she stopped herself, mid-ramble. Did any of that even matter right now? This was a situation that needed to be handled, not something to freak out about.
Her eyes darted toward Alex when she mentioned some situation Katherine herself knew nothing about, but she could gather a general picture from what was said. Eyes darting back to Hal, she shook her head. "You don't have to turn her. I can heal her. As long as she doesn't die in the next twenty-four hours, she'll never have to transition. And...and I can compel her to forget this whole mess. I know it's not exactly moral but it's better isn't it? Than having her remember this?" She was hardly the one to be the moral compass of this situation, seeking their opinions on the matter seemed a better idea.
