Who: Hal Yorke, Alex Miller, Katherine Pierce What: This is an all too familiar scene. Where: Kushta na Pierce, Doorway When: Late Last night Rating: Bloood vs Blood starved vamps. Status: In Progress.
Why oh why was there no one around when the doorbell went. He'd been getting on with things, looking up tile patterns. Being terribly domestic if he was honest with himself. He'd called for Alex impatiently, Katherine was nowhere to be seen and Mitchell was probably off with Lydia. He'd wanted to ignore it. He'd thought they'd go away but no, for some stupid unknown reason he'd walked to the door and opened it praying to whatever would listen that he wouldn't see veins instead of a person. He decided that he would try, because at some point he had to try. At some point he had to be normal again.
Of course upon seeing the girl he knew it wouldn't be this time.
Instinctively he dropped to the floor, pulling off his shirt and trying to stop the blood flow. There was a lot of blood, and a wound that...god no, no no no she'd been bitten. She'd been bitten and he was here with her, blood covered.
Oh he'd been here before. The girl didn't live. The girl died and every hope he had died with her because no one could look at this scene and not think monster. Had this been planned, happy coincidance? Was Hatch here? Oh god...was he here? Was this the beginng of his end? And could he resist it, could he resist her blood. He needed to remember this girl was a person, and she was alive, in his arms. Begging him to help her, not with words or anything. But he could see it in her eyes. And all that was in his eyes was darkness. Black and cold and god it would be so easy. No one had to know, did they, he could get her out of her...finish someone elses work. It wasn't...she wasn't....
There was so much...
Flowing from her, not just bitemarks now he looked, She was going to die, there were no two ways about it. But there was the other option of course. Like before. That thought of, what if this one he could save. Blood would save her if it came to it. Save her or damn her...
Save her or damn her.
Both?
His eyes darkened to black and fangs decended. He could save her. He would save her.
