His expression morphed from concern in to a frown at the way she said that. Because as much as he could tell she wasn't actually trying to be convincing in saying it, after what they'd discussed recently it felt like that was her way of showing just how much she hated it when he said the same. "I know asking you to tell me what is bothering you right now is hypocritical, but I'm going to anyway."
No point in mincing words. He wanted to know what had upset her, because no matter what he was dealing with, no matter how hard he was finding it to deal with his own situation right now, he would do anything to stop her feeling any sort of pain.
