Who: Josh Levison and Alex Millar
What: Being Human crossover episode!
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: The park! It's a popular Lawrence location, it seems
Warnings: Awkward werewolves and sassy-mouthed ghosts
Settling in to this place was taking some effort. And not for the reasons most people had issues with it. Vampires? Please. Demons? Scary, yes, but not out of the norm. Magic? Not his usual, but he could deal with it.
It was all of it being so out in the open. He and Aiden had worked so hard trying to keep what they were under cover. They'd gotten Danny's house, they'd moved in, and sure, there was Sally to deal with, but that was okay in the end. They'd worked overtime to make sure the neighbors didn't know. Their coworkers, their friends. Yes, there were people who knew, eventually, and that was bad. He still wasn't entirely sure his parents believed him, and he wasn't sure he cared. Let them think it was a lie. Maybe he was better that way.
But here... Here there was a huge group of people who just accepted the existence of the supernatural. Who admitted they had a vampire problem to be dealt with. Hell, who admitted they were vampires and joked about it with people who were not vampires (and okay, yes, he was a werewolf, but he would've admitted if he was a vampire, too, after all, wouldn't he, so they knew he wasn't). And maybe he should have been upfront all along, told Gigi, told the vampire pair taunting each other on his post, told everyone so they'd be aware. But he hadn't because who could possibly expect that of someone who'd spent nearly three years trying so hard to hide it?
So he was doing one thing he knew he could do. He was walking in the daylight. Aiden could walk outside during the day, it just wasn't particularly pleasant. The others, though, the ones apparently out to kill them all, those were the sort who took to hiding in the sunlight and Josh was fine with that. Until the full moon, but that...well, he'd cross that bridge when he came to it. And until he was ready to deal with the current vampire situation, as it stood, he'd stick to daylight hours. People always said walking could help you clear your head. Well, he didn't know if he believed that, but it was worth a shot.
Till he saw the girl. Woman, really, early twenties, probably, and attractive enough. Sitting on the bench, making faces at people who walked by rather rudely. He rolled his eyes. Bullying would never die, no matter the dimension, it seemed. He should've left well enough alone, but he walked closer. Maybe he could evil eye her into stopping and still not really get involved. But then he heard the rather snarky comments she was making and while sure, he did agree that the couple looked way too young to be making out in a public park, it was still pretty rude to be saying out loud. "Do you mind?" he asked, crossing his arms in front of him. "People do have feelings, you know."
