It broke her heart a little, the way he still doubted her. The way he questioned her loyalty, even after everything. She had stood by him, over and over again, and would still do so. There were people she liked in this town, Lexi who had given her a chance and a job, Lois who talked to her freely and without judgment. People she would kill for, to protect them.
She would tear them apart without blinking to save Nik, if she had to.
"I meant it then and I've meant it every day since," she looked at him, her expression open and honest as she put the cup of coffee down on the table as she moved from her position in the doorway to stand closer to him. "Nik, sometimes you make me so angry, hurt me so much, and yes, I've screamed at you before, but don't for a second think I have ever stopped loving you. I never could." No matter what else, he was her brother.
What did she want from him? It was so simple really. And yet he couldn't quite see it. "I want you to stand by me too. I want you to not look at me with the same suspicion you give everyone else. I want you to value me above those damn hybrids you create." The hybrids were his slaves, she was his sister, true family, blood family. And Rebekah wanted to mean more to him that they did.
"You can take my blood." A flash of fear came into her eyes, because yes, she was scared, scared that the people of Lawrence would turn against her, that the people who were acting like her friends now were just doing what so many others had done before and were getting close to her to find a way to use her. That her blood could be turned on her and she might actually die. But if that was what it would take to make him trust her again, then fine. "If the failsafe matters to you that much, then take my blood to offer Sherlock Holmes." Her tone was tired rather than sarcastic, and she even held out her arm, her sleeve rolled up so he could access the veins if he wanted.
