"You don't have to. You can do whatever you want, I know you will, but the better you play your cards, the less likely it is they start working to find a way against you. There's all sorts of different magic here...and Jedi...Gods...they could try to find ways to contain you somehow. But if you play nice, don't go around killing people and making a hybrid army, they'll leave you alone, you don't have to work with them, just don't work against them." Her mind was moving at a million miles a minute and she was sure none of what she had just said would make a difference, but it all came out in a rush of desperation regardless.
"No," she shook her head furiously, "I never thought you were weak, never could. You're not. Couldn't be if you tried." An ego-stroke wouldn't save her life, but maybe it could buy her another minute or two. As those last words came from him, she hit the floor to her knees. It wasn't a show, she as simply too weak to stand. Was it supposed to work this fast? Was it faster because he was the first hybrid? "Don't do this," she said, staring up at him. "Don't break your word to Elijah. He'll never let it go and you know it. I-I'll do anything," she said, her fear for her life only rising by the minute. This was it. This was going to be the end and she knew it. "I don't care what it is, I'll do it, just don't kill me. Don't let me die. Please. I don't wanna die."
