It was actually almost as irritating as Lily's ridiculous speech. Though he suspected she was less fond of the words she'd used now. Maybe he'd make Alex repeat her words too. Maybe it would come to that. Because really, her stubbornness was starting to annoy him. Oh he knew he was getting to her, but she'd never admit it. Not verbally anyway.
"You know, if your body wasn't betraying you so completely right now I'd maybe consider buying that." he told her, laughing and languidly letting one hand loose to trail along her neck and down to the curve of her chest.
"If you didn't shiver, if you didn't look at me like you are, maybe I'd think you believed what you were saying and maybe I'd actually be worried I wouldn't leave this little glade, but I'm going to, aren't I? I'm going to walk away from this because powerful as you are, you're weak where it counts. I'm him with no restrictions, nothing holding me back and there's just a little part of you that wonders if I could make you feel something where he couldn't. If maybe if you juuust close your eyes and think of bonny Scotland that maybe it would be worth and maybe...oh maybe I'd be too distracted to kill. But how could I say something so vile, after all you believe in him! He'll win!"
She would end him. What an adorable thought.
"You can drop the whole stubborn thing, it demeans us both. Mostly you of course but I can try to be nice. Now are we going to keep going round in circles or will I just go and find Katherine, I'm sure human her will be just as feisty."
