Smiling gently, Helena nodded. "This way," she said, nodding her head towards the stairs as she turned and began heading downstairs towards the kitchen, still holding Emily in her arms. The girl had at least stopped fussing now. Emily was content to lay against Helena, her head on her shoulder as she clung to her.
"What would you like? I could make you some eggs and toast? Maybe some sausage? Pancakes?" She wasn't certain if Claudia would give her a definite answer on what she wanted to eat, so if she didn't make a definite answer, Helena would make her what she knew the other Claudia would like. That and she wanted to take care of Claudia as only one with a strong maternal instinct could. For the moment, she was keeping her feelings on this matter to herself and locking them inside. She knew she couldn't keep them there forever lest she head back down a dark path she wished to avoid. But for now, she was needing to be the strong one and be there for others. She'd tend to herself later.
