Helena was keeping herself focused on Claudia's body language as well as listening intently to what she said. Both gave her clues to how she should proceed in this endeavor. It was breaking her heart to hear Claudia talk like this. Even if this was a different version of the Claudia she knew, Helena still cared about her, still didn't like seeing her in distress. "Yes, you do. You are not alone. Not here, you have family in me and Myka and Emily and Aidan."
Helena saw the way Claudia's eyes were fixed on Emily who was still squirming and starting to fuss because she didn't know why Claudia wasn't responding to her the way she normally did. Emily stopped squirming when she realized Claudia wasn't going to respond to her, so she instead began to cry. Hearing her daughter cry, Helena shifted the girl so her head was on her shoulder, one hand gently rubbing the girl's back as she rocked her gently. "Shh, it's alright, love," she said softly to Emily as she tried to soothe her. She looked back at Claudia. "She does know you. This is Emily, my daughter, your niece, in a sense."
The hospital. Given Claudia did not seem to be ill or injured and had thought this place wasn't real, that left only type of hospital she had been in. Taking a breath to steady herself on that statement of fact. "You are not in the hospital anymore, not here. You are safe here." Helena was still trying to soothe Emily's crying, which was starting to subside the longer Helena rocked her.
