Looking at Claudia, she could tell there wasn't a connection as she looked at her, which only made her heart sink further. Though her words made Helena's heart start to break. Helena really didn't like hearing that come from Claudia. It wasn't the first time she'd heard Claudia have a pessimistic view of things, but it still hurt.
"That's not true, darling. You have me, you have Myka, Emily and Aidan." Shifting Emily so the girl sat against her hip, Helena took a cautious step towards Claudia. "This is your home, and everyone here loves you. You have many friends in this place, even a boyfriend." Well, so much for pushing things gently, though Helena knew she could've said a lot more at once.
Emily looked at Claudia, a smile crossing her face. She reached out towards Claudia with her little arms, wanting to be held by her. Helena looked down at Emily, keeping ahold of her so she didn't squirm out of her hold and fall. As much as Emily wanted to see Claudia, Helena wasn't so sure Claudia was wanting to hold the little girl, so she wasn't going to hand Emily to Claudia unless the younger woman asked her to.
"Where were you before you were here?" Helena had some suspicions, but she wasn't about to make any assumptions on the matter.
[OOC: Okay I just killed myself a little bit. Thank you, Emily.]
