After feeding Emily breakfast, then cleaning up after her, Helena had set her down in the living room with some toys as she'd gone to check the boards. It was part of her morning routine. Feed Emily, clean up after her, then have breakfast herself. Of which this morning it consisted of toast and tea. But her breakfast was rudely interrupted when she read things on the boards. People weren't themselves or were acting differently than was normal.
It didn't take long for her to draw the conclusion that people were being switched with different versions of themselves. It reminded her a lot of when people had been switched with future versions of themselves. As she saw post after post of people who were different than expected, Helena grew increasingly worried about her friends, her girlfriend. What if they had been affected? Despite the sense of dread filling her, Helena was keeping her cool. Though seeing Claudia's post and reading subsequent comments on it worried her immensely and it threatened to break the calm facade she was putting on.
Hearing Claudia's voice call out, Helena immediately set her computer aside and not wanting to leave Emily unattended for fear something might happen to the girl in her absence, she bent down and picked her daughter up, cradling her in one arm, ensuring to give her the toy she'd been playing with to keep her occupied, though she didn't seem overly disturbed that Helena had suddenly snatched her off the floor. Moving to the stairs, she started heading up them.
"Claudia?" She answered, not really knowing how to approach this situation, but she knew there was a lot that needed to be explained to Claudia.
