Her arrival!
TBD/In progress

She didn't have to worry about things being different. Except when she slept. Or daydreamed...

Losing her parents was bad, but losing her brother on top of it had really made her lose it all. Including her sanity. Claudia had been in this hospital for what felt like decades, but couldn't have possibly been more than a year or so, if she remembered correctly. The medication they gave her made her head kind of fuzzy and she wasn't sure if her dates were exactly right. She was often in a content sort of lull. She didn't fight the doctors much any more. She had in the beginning, even though she had checked herself in, because she was so sure her brother was there. He really was trying to contact her somehow. But she knew better know. It was just a grief-driven delusion. A way to cope with losing him.

She had grown accustomed to the routine of the hospital. Morning checks. Breakfast. Group sessions. Free time in the lounge. Lunch. Single sessions. Dinner. Meds. Lights out. It was almost comforting at this point, knowing she didn't have to worry about things being different. Except when she slept. Or daydreamed. Then things got a little crazy. There were people in her head, a whole other world, really. The doctors all came to the same conclusion: It was just a way to cope with losing all the important people in her life.

But when she woke up for morning checks today, Claudia instantly froze. This wasn't her room in the hospital. This wasn't the hospital at all. This was a house. Her house? No, it didn't look right to be her childhood home. Was this another dream? Another delusion? She slipped out of bed and headed into the hallway to look for someone. "H-hello?" She called out, unsure if anyone would even be there to hear her.
