She'd been awake bright and early that morning. The burning itch was becoming more persistent, she could feel it behind her legs, her arms, spreading. She'd pushed it off for to long. If only because she hated having to chance in the city. She didn't want to, so she had got up, hopped on the transit system and made for the first patch of trees she could find, where she had Changed and spent the morning as wolf, stretching her four legs. It was close to noon when she emerged, fully dressed, and hit the road back to the city.
Her stomach was ready to eat itself by the time she got back home, and she was hungry enough to not want to take the time to cook for herself. So she opted to eat out. With that decision she knew she wouldn't be able to eat her full, even their biggest meal would still leave her hungry, but maybe she could go to one diner, then grab some pizza on the way home.
There was a fairly nice place not to far away from apartment. It was clean, the staff were friendly, and they made a really good cheeseburger platter. Kate always doubled the burger, and the waitresses like to curse her out for being able to eat so much and never gain weight. It was funny for Kate, she enjoyed it there, and was quickly becoming a regular.
Once inside, she went to the stools by the counter and placed her order, while the waitress poured her a coffee. When that was done, she sipped her coffee, trying to not let the hunger pains in her stomach too obvious.
