He knew that it was something they both agreed on, and for similar reasons. Much might not have truly understood, and he did not want his friend to be hurt, but Robin needed this time with Marian. They had lost so many chances at being together, had had so much time and opportunity stolen from them, and as it turned out, had both back home had their lives cut far too short. So like her, he would not feel selfish for wanting this time alone, just the two of them.
