She'd become a 'tease' as he put it under his nurturing. What had begun long ago in a forest near Locksley Manor had grown and developed and finally blossomed here in Lawrence. The flirting, the kissing, all of it had come to a head when she'd nearly thought him lost to her forever. Now that she knew he wasn't, that he was hers and hers alone, she wanted to keep it that way. She wasn't quite as naive as he seemed to think sometimes. She knew there was history there, a past she didn't want to dwell on. But with effort, he'd never stray, not if she was what he needed.
A soft little sigh escaped her as his fingers found her hair. There was something so intimate about that sort of touch, despite being such a simple gesture. And she was absolutely pathetic when it came to him playing with her hair. Had been ever since she was a young girl, nothing would change that. He was rewarded with her mouth working its way up his throat to that sensitive spot she'd found near his ear. Her hand reached up, touching the side of his face lightly. "I'm not at my most rational a lot of times," she murmured, a little smile on her face. "But you love me anyway."
