He wasn't scolding her for snooping through his things, which was nice. Though really, if he tried, she'd probably just roll her eyes and remind him he'd left them out where she could read them. Her face tilted up instinctively to accept his kiss and then, once he'd settled on to the sofa, she leaned to nestle into his side.
"You probably should have been a bit more specific," she pointed out, smiling both at his words and at how much he was actually doing to help. "Isn't there war in the Congo right now?" she asked, wrinkling her nose and nodding towards one near the top. "Africa may sound interesting, but maybe not that part!"
