The fact that everyone in this place seemed to be on the same level, displaced from their homes and there was no real stock put into a class system, was still odd to Gaia, even after how long she'd been in this place. But little by little, she wasn't giving it much thought any longer. There were no slaves to do things for her, and she had learned to be self-sufficient. Though she'd been self-sufficient in her own time. The loss of her husband had forced her into such a stance, though she'd never been a helpless woman. No, she was the type that would go after whatever it was she wanted and not stop until she got it.
Despite the fact Gaia easily could have engaged herself with Galen or Gannicus, she'd wanted to go out, to lose herself in other things. A club had been the answer, and Gaia was determined to enjoy herself. So encountering Bo was only adding to that experience that she so desperately needed. When they shook hands, Gaia felt the movement of Bo's thumb against her hand. She was taking that as a sign that Bo was open, though to open to what remained to be seen. Though the heightened senses Gaia felt as a result of the handshake wasn't expected. Though the Roman woman was attributing it to the cocaine high she was riding combined with the anticipation of having a good night.
Taking the offered drink, Gaia smiled. She returned the toast and took a long drink. Once the alcohol had slid down her throat, Gaia slid her gaze over Bo's body. "I do agree, it certainly is a very nice start." Gaia's gaze lingered perhaps a little too long over Bo's body before it returned to her eyes. It was enough to show that Gaia was interested and open to seeing where the night went between them. "Have you been here before?" It perhaps bordered on a seriously cheesy pick up line, but Gaia held no real knowledge of such things and she was genuinely curious. She hadn't seen Bo before, and was curious as to if this was a place she normally came to or not.
