Much found modern clothes uncomfortable and restricting on the best of days. Maybe eventually he'd get used to them, but that day was not now. Every night the last two weeks he'd spent in that forest nearly until sunrise on some occasions working away at whatever it was he was hiding from Robin until the right moment. He wanted to get it done quickly, lying to Robin wasn't an option and he'd been a bit more heavy on the questions after he came home the night before nursing a very bruised hand. Much had done his best to evade them, only tell him bits of truth but not the entire story. He'd been in the forest with Lydia, they'd been working on something. That was about all Much would reveal. When he needed to be he could be just as stubborn as Robin.
"This way." He'd sacrificed nearly two weeks of his beloved sleep for this project and it was showing, he was tired but he was content with how things had turned out. That much he couldn't hide. Emotions were a thing he was terrible at keeping off his face. Always had been since they were young. Someone had to.
At first he lead Robin, then fell into step with him out of habit. He might have been a free man, but a leader he felt not. There was a trail Much had been using the last couple weeks just off the beaten path. After all the point of a tree house was to blend in. It was a good twenty minute walk, in which Much chattered on about whatever happened to come to mind. Finally though he stopped. "We're here." He'd stopped at the base of a tree, nothing to even suggest a house might dwell in it's branches. Only when one looked closer, a rope hung from the branches. On the side hidden from view a climbing rope existed, mostly for Much's ease as it was difficult to get the supplies up without some sort of system without it.
It had four walls, a roof, even a window and a door. When it came to wood work, Much was certainly coming a long way with all the free time he had on his hands. And it had a sturdy base to hold it all together.
