"Oh a family history and natural talent, now what was it I said about natural talent!"
Natural talent, there it was. Typical damn Brit boys, he'd known so many of them and so many of them had that same pride in their eyes every time they talked about the job they did. Defending the people. Defending what was right. And Becker seemed to have been one of the best at it. So why should he not be proud. War was war no matter the century. It was never glorious and good, it was never pretty. But sometimes it was unavoidable. "You do what you have to out there because there's no other choice. That's what it is. No it doesn't always work as you'd like it to but when does life ever follow a formula, right?"
He hadn't missed the look in the other mans eyes either. He didn't think anyone that had commanded men would miss that look. Because you couldn't keep them all safe. There was no way. All you could do was the best you could and he well believed Becker had done that.
But seriously, dinosaurs.
"I have seen a lot, done more than a lot, fought aliens, fought madmen and everything in between. But never dinosaurs. I think a friend of mine did once. The Doctor, I seem to remember a story about dinosaurs and some weird group using UNIT to bring them from the past to right the worlds imagined wrongs and bring back the time before humans but he must have stopped them. He tends to pull off the impossible."
