He couldn't hear the blood anymore. He couldn't smell it as closely as before and that was because of her. She'd rentaghosted them somewhere quiet, abandoned, alone. And yet he didn't look up right away. Her arms were still locked around him, less than when she'd rentaghosted but still a comfort. "...the last time we were this close I believe I was telling you your neck looked nice. I've had better dates." he commented, allowing himself a bitter laugh tinged with relief now he was away from the living.
"I apologise for my impropriety I just need a moment to...calm myself." he told her and took a few calming breaths before lifting his head, having managed to push the bloodlust back a sufficient amount. Immediately his hand went to his jacket pocket, not for anything untoward of course. Just for the domino. The gift from Leo that still meant so much to him. He twirled it between his fingers, trying to regain focus.
"You should not have had to see that again, I'll be fine after a time, and then I can bring you back with me. I should never have been so stupid Alex, I just got so caught up in what you told me. I lost track of everything else, everything I accomplished at home, or even here. Its a weakness of character. One I suppose I have always had. But that should be no excuse for how I've behaved."
