Not even a new world had broken his loyalty, it was very likely that nothing ever would. Not even the threat of potential death. If anything that made him want to protect him more, but he figured Robin also wouldn't like that either. So he frowned a little as he curled there with his blankets in the corner of the couch with her near by and looked out blankly into the dark room. During his first few weeks he found it rather difficult to sleep in doors after spending years in the Holy Land, and then in the forest adjusting to the sounds of nature. Recently though he seemed to do okay with it. Generally fell asleep in the early morning hours only to wake at dawn for work. He was starting to have a routine, and that was something he desperately needed. He didn't have Robin to be his routine. Robin had created one for him though and it helped a great deal.
Some of the blankets pooled in his lap as he sat there just soaking in the silence. He tried to give her a tiny smile at the touch but it was strained. Of course he was awake, that was how it was. If Robin wasn't asleep, neither was Much. He would always wait for him to come home and sleep first. Much was reassured by that routine. Right now there was no reassurance at all, he felt raw and tired, but sleep refused him.
"No." He'd never even imagined a day might come where a Robinless world could be a real thing. He'd known him almost his entire life, the idea of being without him was a terrifying one. One his heart just couldn't take. After everything they went through it just wasn't fair. Robin was meant to die. The idea that he might be meant for it too hadn't even crossed his mind, it rarely had. He'd always put Robin above himself, everyone really. It was just the way he was.
He wanted to say something, but he really couldn't find words.
