He still used her title from time to time and it was a bit strange hearing it, even if she'd been hearing it all of her life. Marian worked hard here to separate the young Lady of Knighton from the older, more mature, 21st century Mrs. Locksley. That was her old life. A life she wasn't meant to live for long, apparently. She had a chance here. A second chance at life. The Seal had even brought along the husband she'd been robbed of her time with, and she insisted on taking advantage of every moment with him that she could.
But she didn't correct Much, because she knew it was out of respect. The man had been raised a servant, and he'd been a brilliant one, too. He took better care of Robin than even she did. Perhaps, even, was more loyal to him. Where she was far too feisty and independent, Much never once wavered in his loyalty. And she genuinely loved him for it.
She squeezed his shoulders once before returning to sip at her drink. "Couldn't sleep?" she questioned, eyeing him carefully. She knew she'd never be as close to him as Robin was. They'd practically grown up as brothers. But she did try. Even if, as a child, she'd been furiously jealous that Much could keep up with the playful young lord of Locksley and she'd been too tiny. "Seems to happen a lot around here, not sleeping."
