Charlie laughed. It made for an interesting mental picture, Sam as Chewbacca. He certainly had the height to pull it off. “I hope it happens. I really do. There was a Halloween in Lawrence when some of us turned into our costumes for a while, so now I’m picturing Sam making all of those Wookie noises.” She shook her head chuckling. “That’s not mean or anything, is it?”
“I agree. Cheesy garlic bread is the perfect start to a meal.” Now that she had the food on her brain, Charlie imagined she wouldn’t stop thinking about it until she had a bite. Certain delicious things did that to her.
It never ceased to amaze her how Andy’s power affected people. She’d never said anything about it, really. She didn’t like it when people picked her ability apart and just assumed that others with gifts might feel the same way. Still, it didn’t stop it from being cool and they’d landed the best table in the whole establishment. Charlie smiled at Andy as he pulled the chair out for her. He really was a nice guy, something that seemed rare in the world.
She took a look over the menu. There were so many choices. It seemed like a list of everything delicious and Italian. “If I had a bigger stomach I’d absolutely get one of everything.” She smirked. “Pizza is good. If you want the lasagne, though, I’m going with chicken marsala.”
