A smile lit up her face when she saw him. Charlie loved her time with Andy. There was something about him that made her smile even when he’d been cursed. He was a nice guy, a refreshing change of pace from the jerks she’d encountered in her past. Also, the time before and now, he didn’t seem to mind her past which was always the main obstacle in Charlie’s relationships. His past involving the yellow-eyed demon was just as rough. Andy had to have had some kind of understanding of what she’d been through, even if his ability had come from demon blood and hers from a lab experiment.
“Hi!” She glanced down at her casual dress. “I didn’t really know how to dress, so I went with this.” Truthfully, Charlie didn’t mind whatever restaurant Andy had picked for the night. She was perfectly happy just having good company. Chik-fil-A would have been just as great as anywhere else. It wasn’t really the food that mattered in situations like this one.
