A lot had happened in the past month. Dark's Carnival and having gotten taken into that, Maleficent trying to entice her to give into her darker nature, Marian getting cursed along with others (though to be honest, the only one she really cared about in that had been Marian), children being kidnapped by the woman, giving into the darker aspects of her abilities in order to help defeat Maleficent as she showed no repentance and would continue to torment the displaced until she was dealt with, Marian asking her to stand with her at her wedding. It was a strange. So much pain, and yet there still was good. And it wasn't exactly as though Morgana had brought about the downfall of Lawrence, but she had a feeling that with her 'future' or past, it could have been seen as a dangerous road to walk.

Was it, though? When Claudia had asked if there was a way to tell if one's magic was dark in nature, it seemed the uniform feeling was that it was based upon the intent of the user. Some worlds had magic that was dark and light, where it was obvious. But was that such for Morgana and her own world? She didn't know. But she wanted to believe it had to do with her intent. And while she would never truly understand just what had happened in Camelot for her to turn her back on Arthur and Gwen, from what she had seen in clips and read, she had a slight understanding and there had been quotes she felt even now. Why she went the route she did, why she did some of the things she did, or would do, though? That was still lost to her. Beyond analyzing the way stories are told and archetypes to be explored and what writers wanted to do. But that didn't really make her feel any better on the matter, because this was her life. With all the adaptions. With all the different takes... she was 'from' one where she completely snapped.

Having grown frustrated and still not exactly wanting to risk running into Arthur, even though he had attempted to apologize, Morgana headed to the park instead of the rooftop garden where she usually went when she needed to think or practice. She didn't have plans to practice any magic but she did enjoy the fresh air. The walls were too white, the technology too imposing. Morgana would always feel more at ease surrounded by nature, further away from the reminders that she was in the future, where things were so less personal and alive. There was a connection there that was never severed. Her ties to nature and the elements through the Old Religion. Through magic. Arthur could never understand it. Nor could Lancelot. It was simply a part of her.

The weather had started to warm up, and it was clear out as opposed to the storms that had been happening over the weekend. Things were calming down and spring was coming. The equinox would be here soon. A time for renewal. It fit, with trying to be someone she couldn't be in Camelot as her future was already plotted out before her. At least in Lawrence, she had a chance to do something good. Even if she did do things that maybe could be considered dark. There was a balance there. There had to be.
