He tried to keep responding to the people that commented to him in that little coffee shop, oh how he tried. He wanted answers, he wanted to find the seal and pull a little reversal mumbojumbo and take a portal straight back to Chicago. Unfortunately for him, technology really did hate him. He got about half way through the messages when the machine started to smoke and then caught fire. It wasn't long before sirens were blaring and red flashing lights bounced off the walls. He wasn't as alarmed as he should have been probably. The people on the internet could chatter away about it as though it were nothing, and it amused Harry.
He tried to do right. Stay away from black magic, not get caught up in things beyond him. Yet there he was in the middle of the apocalypse and all he could do was smirk as he followed the directions given to him. That figures. He thought ironically and pulled his coat a little closer, rubbing his wrist habitually where his mothers golden shield bracelet rested. It was the last thing he had from her and held a damn powerful protection charm. He never took it off, and was pleased the seal thing decided it was important enough not to be bothered.
Unlike him. No, he could be bothered. Never mind what he was dealing with thanks to the council, a war between heaven and hell now wanted him. Harry knew he would have to tread softly. Softly wasn't exactly his specialty as the poor coffee house had just experienced. Even the Council was using him as a How Not To Use Magic guide book for new members. Now Heaven and Hell wanted him to pick a side. The very sorts of things he tried his best to stay out of had literally pulled him out of Chicago.
Any minute now he expected Morgan to show his scowling face and threaten him with that damn sword again. There was no Morgan, and there was no getting in touch. The last thing he needed to do was destroy the phone too and catch the entire establishment on fire. They'd already suffered enough of his bad electronic luck for one night. He sighed as he approached the complex and raised an eyebrow. He could feel some strong wards protecting that place. That's why they didn't worry about telling me. With that sort of magic surrounding the building, a demon or anything else would have a hell of a time getting in. Harry was not a demon though, he had no problem breaching the wards despite the darkness his aura gave off. Nudging the doors open he peered into the lobby. "Helloooo?"
