And that had done it and Jack was officially not okay with the seal, or the witch, or whatever the hell was doing this to the guy. Barely knowing him didn’t matter. Jack wouldn’t have wished this on his worst en…Okay well maybe the Master. But aside from him, it was a cruel fate. And this guy by all accounts was a hero. One of the good guys and he was being forced to remember the worst times of his life. And now of course he had a gun.
“Stand down soilder.” he tried, hoping if he couldn’t snap him back into reality he could reason with him. “US Military, we’re on the same side and they’re not coming back in here, I swear to you, we’ll get you back to your people, you just gotta listen to me. Captain Harkness by the way, means you at least know who you’re shooting at if you feel you gotta. Personally I’d rather it not go that way. Probably screw up the ‘special relationship’ just a bit.”
He hated playing this, lying. But for Becker, it seemed like maybe it was the only thing that might work. Get him to believe in his illusion as being over, as being saved by allies. The accent might actually come in handy this time round.
Or he’d get shot. Which would annoy him. But not be the end of the world.
