Meg laughed out loud at the charming way he kissed her hand, not noticing any hesitation on his part. She even attempted something of a wonky curtsy of her own, completely thrown off balance by her book and her entire lack of knowing how those things were supposed to work anyway. "Well, there should be more men like you around, because manners should definitely be saved from the extinction they seem to be doomed for at the moment. And really? Women actually kinda like it. I know it probably goes against the feminism code to admit that, but it's true." Besides, it was nice to be treated politely every now and then.
Still, she sighed, a resigned expression in her eyes. "I know why some people might think redemption can be possible. I like to think that for a lot of non-demon shaped people it can be. But she's made it clear she's not interested and I don't think this is something we can afford to wait around with. She was offered the chance, she refused it. That was her choice." She stood by her belief that demons couldn't be redeemed, even Ruby as much as she seemed to be attempting it. Meg just couldn't forgive, not after everything. But anything else, beings from other worlds, they deserved something of a chance. But the witch had thrown the offer back in all their faces and now it had to be dealt with.
"You're too kind," she smirked a little. "I think it's a side effect of having to be quiet for a year, I kind of don't stop once I get going these days. Still," she deliberately paused with a smile and a deep breath. "Don't let me dominate or anything. How long have you been in Lawrence?"
