Gods help her she still jumped when he announced himself. Typical of him by all accounts, hiding off until he could make the most dramatic showy entrance possible. Though of course she couldn't deny that the occasional showy appearance had caught her attention before. Still, Jefferson was somewhat of an unknown entity with Belle, she never quite knew what he wanted or what he was out to gain for himself. At the very least his daughter was all of his life and he had her back here. He'd look out for her. She wondered sometimes though if it bothered Rumple to see Grace and Henry and not know the truth about his own son. Where he was what he might have been doing, if he was even still alive in whatever world he'd landed up in. Belle may have been the love of his life but Bae...Baelfire was everything to him.

"Yes yes just me" she finally managed to articulate, her heart still beating. "I slipped out to the library for an hour...more than an hour ago and it got dark without me noticing. That happens sometimes. Its a problem really."

As for scared and worried, shouldn't everyone be. "I was nervous yeah. But there is reason for us all to be worried right now, right? I'll be okay if you've somewhere to be. I'm just gonna get back to my house and accept the being yelled at I know is coming for wandering out alone. I figured if I was going to be hidden away until the witch is gone I might as well have some books."
