Who: Maleficent and OTA (but can stand alone if needs to)
What: An arrival with a hissy fit
Where: above and then at the park
When: today
Rating: Moderate

Sixteen years. Sixteen long years of painstakingly looking for the little brat and she’d been nearly under Maleficent’s nose the entire time. Her minions had paid for their ineptitude and it had turned out perfectly fine in the end. The girl was located, easily manipulated, and practically dead now. Maybe a hundred year long sleep wasn’t as poignant as death by spindle, but it would do as punishment. How the King and Queen had thought slighting her as they had done all those years ago would have gone unnoticed was beyond her. Didn’t they know she had eyes and ears in all the lands? She knew every coming and going, every rise and fall to power. She’d practically instigated a number of them.

Once she’d slept Maleficent had half a mind to find the bumbling three and destroy all manner of goodness that still blazed within them. Twist them about until they were nothing but shells of their former glory for keeping the princess out of her grasp for so long. Destroy their happiness, taunt the young prince some more. She was fairly certain she could fit all that in before lunch. But sleep was required first, something she had sorely missed during all those fruitless nights of searching for the lost girl.

No sooner had she shut her eyes when Diablo’s cries could be heard echoing through the air. She ignored them at first, waiting for the bird to shut up so she could slumber. The cawing only seemed to become more frantic and she burst from her bed, sleep forgotten as she made her way to where the sound was coming from.

Irritation whirled through her as she appeared on top of the tower, ordering Diablo to stop talking. Except he was no longer squawking and as she took in his now stoney appearance she knew he never would again. Rage filled her at the sight of her one true companion and she watched as the prince and the damn fairies made their escape from her stone fortress. She could not lose, not now, not when everything was so close to enacting her revenge.

And then the world changed and she was no longer standing on her stone tower nor could she see the prince and fairies making their escape. The air tasted different, the aura of the world felt strange. A new realm. But how? It didn’t matter in that moment. All that mattered was that she had been denied justice and someone, everyone would pay for that mistake.

Swirling the staff overhead, she conjured up a furious storm. The once sunny sky turned black as night before rain began to pour down. Maleficent let out a terrifying cry, lightning whipping down from the sky and setting fire to whatever it touched. She pointed her staff downward and watched as waves of thorn bushes sprouted up along the city, stopping the metal beasts and covering the streets and buildings with thorns and roses.

She landed in the middle of what looked to be a park, watching the people who had been enjoying the sunny day running from all that was occurring. Their cries of panic were music to her ears and Maleficent smiled as she watched them go, listening to those sounds echoed throughout the city. Maybe she would be able to have a little fun here before finding her way home.

After all it was always so nice to show other realms why they shouldn’t mess with the Mistress of Evil.

Much had been a whirlwind of emotion lately. Between Robin and his surly attitude and his own feelings of uselessness he worried about everyone and everything. It was a lot of feelings for one man to have. He knew something was wrong with Robin and he had half a mind to go searching through the internet to see what it was, but he also knew right from wrong. That would have been wrong. A total invasion of his masters privacy. He would not betray his trust like that just because someone else had. He just hoped one day that Robin would be able to tell him himself, and things would be as they were before with them.

When Robin mentioned archery he felt elated for the first time in a while. Robin hadn't since the day he'd arrived, Much was concerned there was something wrong from the start but he didn't know what. The fact that Robin had brought up archery the night before took a lot of weight off Much's shoulders as far as worrying went. He was feeling a little better before the storm hit and a tree nearby caught fire. He had nothing to put it out with, but then came the rain and he breathed a momentary sigh of relief. That should help. Though it didn't help him. His modern clothing began to stick to his body as it poured down like angry needles that actually stung his face with their fierceness.

The fires didn't go out. Was that normal here? Much had no idea. He looked around as people began to panic and run from the rain. It was only water, but he understood. He didn't like the rain himself. He peeled off his jacket that was weighing him down now thanks to all the water and looked for the source of the storm. This did not feel like a natural storm, but maybe he was just paranoid after everything he'd been told. There was no actual evidence that it wasn'tnatural. Quit thinking crazy, it's just a storm.

Except there in the middle of the park was a woman with a staff that didn't exactly look very happy. Much nudged at his waist for his dagger and breathed a sigh of relief that he had remembered it. As well as a sword attached to his hip-but daggers were a little less aggressive. He didn't draw any weapons yet though she didn't exactly seem like the rest of the confused displaced. "Hellooo?" Much tried as he got a little closer. "You all right there?"

Someone was speaking to her, not running in fear as the rest of them seemed to do. Not that it surprised her. Most had that reaction when she entered a room. Hadn't she made sure of that response after all these years? And she senses no power in this one. There was definitely some in the vicinity though. Multiple types of magic ranging from new to old, with their different flavors and auras. So much untapped potential just waiting to be corrupted.

Maleficent turned to the man, already knowing where his weapons were located. She could feel their presence in the air around him. But such weaponry was easily evaded in her current state. She looked him up and down, noting his appearance and the clothing he wore. He was not royalty, that much was obvious from the way he carried himself. A peasant probably. Someone's servant.

"Do I look alright?" she snapped, keeping him in her gaze.

He was afraid of things, but generally those things were not people. He was stronger than he appeared. It took quite a bit to scare him off. A angry look and snapping voice weren't going to do it-unless it came from Robin. That was the one person it might work with and even then Much was stubborn. He always came back, always wanted to help him. "No not really, but is the storm entirely necessary? It's yours isn't it?" Much didn't like magic. It generally meant water dunking and hanging where he was from. He somehow doubted this woman was going to be as simply stopped as that if it came down to it. Which it was hoping it wouldn't. Maybe he could do some amount of good here and calm her down at least a little.

"Let me guess, this wasn't the place you just were." He had to squint at her through the rain. Eventually he had to even take off his hat, it was only cloth and it was soaked through. It didn't help with the chill that the sudden storm had brought. Extreme weather wasn't new on him, but he wasn't a fan of fire or lightning. Either one he could have done without. "What's your name?" Small talk. Maybe that would get her guard down just a little. Distract her at the very least. Her staff was making him uneasy the more he stood around it.

All he'd wanted to do was get more wood and make his bow, but now he was stuck in the rain with a rather angry looking woman. Why did they always do that at him? He wasn't exactly a casanova but he did try.

He was already beginning to irritate her with his inane questions. Of course she wasn't where she had been before. She wasn't an idiot. She had eyes, she had ears. She could feel that the world wasn't her own, could sense it down to the bone. A simpleton like this man had no right to question what she knew or did not know.

"Names should never be given so freely when you arrive in a place you do not know." They were powerful things, names. So much could be done once you knew a person's true one. Surely this one knew that.

"Do you have something worthwhile to say or shall I smote you where you stand?" Usually she would have tried for a bit more flare, but time was essential at this point.

She wasn't the chatty sort. Of course she wasn't. He always seemed to run into those lately. He looke at her sympathetically through the rain and shifted his backpack over his shoulder. It helped in the carrying of wood and he was impressed. Why hadn't they thought of anything like this before? He might have had to carry all the wood in his arms if he'd been back home. He supposed some of the modern things weren't so bad. It'd been a rough transition for him but he was starting to deal with it. Even beginning to wander off on his own a bit more from time to time. Though he still preferred to stay by Robin most of the time. Robin was his friend, of course he would want to be around him. He could have made new friends, and had made a few but that didn't make Robin any less important to him. That didn't make him believe any less in his master than he did.

"Why not?" He didn't really understand it. "It's just a name. Mine's Much." He offered his own in hopes maybe he could get through to her. After all Cas had initially said he didn't want friends, but Much had considered him a friend from day one. Maybe if he'd done it with this woman too he could help her as well. Names seemed like a good place to start for him.

"Rather not with the smiting." He said hastily and looked around for ways out from the corners of his eyes if she did decide to strike him down. Where could he go? Most people were fleeing still to get out of the rain now, so they were out of the way. There was a rather large fallen log nearby he could hide behind if it came to it probably. He made do with the options he had. "You know I was just trying to help you. Can't people just talk anymore?" He said with a slight scowl.

Maleficent didn't even bother to glare any longer. His inane chatter wasn't worth her ire or anything as far as she was concerned. The fact he was still yammering away only solidified her initial assessment of him. He was of no consequence, though that didn’t mean she couldn’t gather information from him that would lead somewhere.

“What an awful name you have,” she informed him, smiling that grin that made most around her uncomfortable in an instant. There was nothing sweet about it, reminding many of the look a creature had before it devoured its latest meal whole. She neared him for a moment, circling with her cape billowing in the wind. Her staff she held outright a tad, power crackling from it in case he attempted to near her. “So simple. So baseless. And yet you think you can help?”

She laughed at that, the sound high and without any charm or mirth to it. “And how, pray tell, could a simpleton like you truly help anyone?” Her smile grew at that statement, knowing it would cut deep into the man before her. More deeply than any wounds she could inflict with metal and steel. That was what people seemed to forget nowadays. It was better to cut deeply and let it linger, fester than to end it all in one swift motion.

Honestly. It wasn't as if he'd never heard that before. It wasn't his very first day on the face of the world. He knew his name wasn't exactly common but it was his and he was protective of it. "Yours can't be much better since you still haven't given it to me." He lashed out without thinking, maybe he did have some of his masters anger. Though he did tend to error more on the side of caution when it came to these sorts of things than Robin might have. So he just bit his tongue and frowned. "I can if you let me. I didn't mean what I said." Of course he meant it, but he just didn't really want to be attacked for it. All he wanted was a hot shower and lemonade. Was that really so much to ask for? He'd had a longer day at work today and just wanted to relax. This was very much the opposite of not relaxing.

His first tip that she wasn't exactly sane should have been the cape she wore. Nobody sane wore caps these days. He grit his teeth at that word again. Simple. "There's a place for people that are displaced." He continued after a moment of attempting to regain his composure. Robin had called him simple once. Much knew he wasn't as important as say Robin, or Marian, but he really didn't need the reminder. She pointed that strange weapon in his direction, he drew a sword in defense. He didn't have his shield, the one time he might have really needed it Arrow was making a bed of it at home.

"You don't know me at all. You'd be surprised what I can do." Just because he didn't want to fight, didn't mean he couldn't or wouldn't if it came to it. He was more than capable of it. After all he'd been taught by the best.

“I know enough from the way you lash out in anger at what I say.” She laughed again, thoroughly amused at the situation. “You’re not hard to read. No one truly is, but you. It’s all right there on your face. You think yourself capable, don’t you? But do your friends truly believe you to be so? Or do they hide their true thoughts from you? Don’t trust you to know their inner selves, hmm?” And even if it wasn’t so, picking at him was entirely too much fun. Toying with people, making them doubt themselves and endure pain was a hobby. Something to wile away the time while working to take over the world. How she’d missed it in the last few years with her focus on finding the damn girl.

“A place for the displaced? I don’t think they’d want me there, child.” For though she may have looked young, she was old. Not as old as some with her power, but old enough to have seen many kingdoms rise and fall. Usually through her own making. “Nor do I plan to be here long.”

His sword was withdrawn now, and she hardly cared for what he thought he might be able to do with it. But she rose a bit in the air just same. “How do I get home? Or who might know more on how to do so?” Maleficent didn’t think the man before her would have many answers. Or if he did, they wouldn’t be the most accurate.

It was true he wore his heart on his sleeve, but he didn't think of it as a weakness until now. Until this woman was laughing in his face. He'd never met anyone like her before, even the Sheriff's cruel words hadn't cut him as hers had. He kept his eyes on her at all times with that weapon pointed in his direction. "I am capable." He hissed through his teeth and gripped at the sword hilt a little tighter. He wouldn't give her the satisfaction of seeing his anger. His confusion rising back to the surface.

"Google it wench." He seethed as he fished for the dagger in his pocket and hurled it at her with an impressive speed. His aim was actually pretty accurate thanks to Robin teaching him since they were kids. The burning bush nearby cast a glow on his face that made him turn from it. The heat was warm but he wanted nothing to do with it. The rain continued and Much only watched her ascend numbly.

The backpack he'd brought from home dropping to the soaked grass. The wood was ruined anyway. He wasn't that young. She was just ancient.

Maleficent altered her appearance, quickly becoming tiny green wisps of the wind. It wasn’t her preferred form, but she couldn’t be harmed while in this one either. She whirled around the man briefly, taunting him with his inability to do anything to her before taking off into the sky. She hoped it would stew in him for awhile, the words she had spoken. Whirl about, fester into an infection of his soul so that doubts would creep in against those he held dear. And if not yet, then maybe there would be time to do so before she departed. Breaking people was always so much fun.

Thunder cracked and lightning flashed across the sky, the rain continuing to downpour as she whirled higher into the sky to seek out more information of this strange new realm that she was in.
