Much didn't want to go home, but it wasn't entirely because of Robin. Maybe somewhat but the former servant didn't blame his master. He didn't want to go home because he didn't feel useful. Sure he had a job now, but what was he really doing? How was that contributing to this fight against apocalyptic evil? Robin was used to leading and Much was used to being lead. Having a life of his own was a bit of a scary thought. Robin had even mentioned a place where he would be served food, and while in theory the idea was amusing Much wasn't sure he was comfortable with it. How did he act in such a place? Did it mean he had to do something ridiculous? He'd always joked about wanting to be called Lord Much but when reality kicked in the idea was actually terrifying.
He sighed a little and looked down at the dancing flames in his fire ring. Robin should have been there with him, but instead he was at home with Marian having his own life. It looked to Much like moving on from the cause they'd both been following since their return from the Holy Land and Much didn't know what to say except he didn't think he liked it. He was just supposed to get up, go to work and do it all again the next day. Helping was frowned upon. There were many things frowned upon. He ran a hand through his blond hair and pulled off his hat.
He was told Robin shouldn't help with Dark because he was fear itself, but when did that ever stop them before now? How was that any different then what they lived with day to day in England? Fear wasn't just in the form of a man. Much idly poked at the fire with a stick he'd declared his fire poking stick. His thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice of the angel he'd come to call friend. "You found the place." He offered him a small smile though it was half hearted. Such a feeling wasn't directed at Cas though. He was wearing Robin's jacket. It sort of helped him feel a little better, like a security blanket of sorts. "I like it here. Reminds me of home." Where things made sense. Sort of. Corrupt Sheriff's aside.
