He kissed her, not for as long as usual but he kissed her, and told her it had been a good joke, one she could have done better on apparently but a good joke all the same. She didn't buy it for a second. Sam wasn't happy, he was spooked and she'd made it worse. All the same though she went to the refridgerator and retrived a beer from its shelf, the kind he drank. She made sure she always had it for him. She opened it and returned to him sitting down on the couch and beckoning for him to join her.
"Have this and we can start." ahe suggested, "Look Sam, I'm sorry. I really am I thought you'd see it as a joke. Or see the funny side or it or whatever. I didn't think the whole thing got to you that much. But its ridiculous right. You know I can't. You don't have to worry about demon spawn from me"
But he would worry anyway. Its what he did. Still, she really truly hoped he calmed a little. It had been a silly joke was all.
