Who:Guy and Much! What:Dimension hopping, apparently! When:Today Where:The city Warnings:Much is adorably confused, that is all.
It was Robin's birthday, it was supposed to be a celebration. A happy time in which they could show his friend and Master how much they cared about him. Where the villagers could come and show him their gratitude and enjoy a feast with them. Much had it all planned out. There was a pig roasting and everything, what he didn't know was the Sheriff also knew of Robin's birthday. Had sent his best mercenaries to destroy them. Much had screwed up again. He felt like he'd been doing that rather frequently. Getting on everyone's nerves, especially Robin's. They never talked anymore.
Not until they were forced to talk and finally Much didn't want to talk anymore. He refused to talk just because they had over a hundred murderer's outside their door waiting to kill them. He refused. So stubbornly he listened to the stories of the other Lads. Every now and then passing a glance at Robin. The more he listened to their stories, the more hurt he grew and jealous. Robin never spoke of their story. Never listened to him. "I'm not doing it. Calligula or whatever." He said to Djaq who promptly corrected the way he'd mispronounced the name of her little truth game. They were all supposed to talk truths that night. Robin couldn't do it, and Much was quiet. Abnormally so as he bit down on a leg of pig instead. This was getting ridiculous, he didn't know how much longer he could take waiting to be killed. He knew that's exactly what those mercenaries wanted but damn them all to hell. He was livid.
Much was rarely the sort to be livid, but there you had it. And then Robin spoke. He spoke finally of their days in the holy land and Much felt his anger fade into shame. Shame that he'd said such harsh words to the man he considered his best friend. With a final hug they prepared to face the mercenaries, but as Much removed the lock they'd paced over the door and stepped out of the barn he was no longer in Nettlestone. He was no longer surrounded by the friends he had known his entire life, but a strange place filled with tall monsters and people on cell phones that looked insane talking to nobody in his eyes. Where was he? Had he gone mad from being locked in that god forsaken barn finally?
Stepping out into the street without giving the carriages with wheels much thought at all Much tested the black cement under his feet for a moment. It was just rock or something similar anyway. He looked up at the skyscrapers and noted the lack of trees even. The thing that brought him back to earth was the loud sound of a car horn honking furiously. Much pulled his sword and shield at it, thinking it was some kind of demon. Whatever it was it was damned fast and not human and he needed to arm himself instead of move. He wasn't a coward after all!
