"Unless Detective Jules is there, they won't be able to help you. A lot of people here don't know what's going on. They don't want to see it, I think."
Which was rather ominous for a nine year old to say, but well, it was true. She had seen other people say it, how the people who were native to this place ignored what was going on because it was easier to cope with that way. Because to admit the crazy things that happened meant that they weren't safe. They thought if they ignored it, it would go away even though it wouldn't. She knew that her papa had a theory on it. Or more that, no matter how much people wished for magic, they never saw the magic around.
"But its okay. I showed up here randomly as well. A lot of people have, actually. Sometimes there are people here who you already know and that's nice. It makes it easier."
Folding her hair behind her ear, Grace smiled.
"My name's Grace."
Because introductions were polite. And she was basically telling this new person that she was stuck here. And then that there were bad things here and that it could be scary. But it wasn't bad, especially if you knew people.
