Abby never really discussed how it had felt to show up here and be from a point after Connor, that they weren't even together for him, let alone engaged, the Kim situation. It had been heartbreaking but she had dealt with it, because she was Abby. She was used to such things, didn't like them, but she was still used to them. And it wasn't really something that needed to be brought up now. She and Connor were engaged. Again. So it was what it was.
"No problem. Avoiding awkward reunions is a good thing."
And oh how Abby knew awkward reunions. She had picked up on it easily enough. She'd been sick at the time, and arrested and then Pestilence, but she had still picked up easily enough that he wasn't the Connor she had proposed to.
"The amount of people involved is broken up into two groups. The people who are from here and have no idea on what is going on, and then those of us who have been pulled through the Seal. That number is... I don't know, I don't like people. But it fluctuates because of how unpredictable the Seal is. People get pulled and sent back almost weekly. Some people are here for months, years, maybe weeks."
Sighing, Abby crossed her arms and leaned against the wall.
"There are classes offered. Sort of in an upheaval and being reworked thanks to the latest round of crazy. There's a camp that turned more into intensive survival that was initially meant for those who wished to be Hunters, or those who actively go out and fight the different creatures outside the city. So the camp is going back to that with more intensive classes being offered in the city by people who are in the know. The classes are varied, weapons, creatures, first aide... I don't think they've set the schedule yet but there's a list of present classes listed in the lobby of the main complex. You'll also want to pick up an amulet from there, it will protect you against possession, though getting a tattoo is a more sure way to keep from being possessed."
