He was grateful for the water, partially because drinking it was something to do to buy time while he thought things over, but also because, well, he was thirsty. Apparently shifting realities was a dehydrating experience, who knew.

One piece of information did actually get a reaction from him though. "Connor's from a few years before us?" He echoed the sentence, just to make sure he was getting it right.
