Given Abby had shown up while sick and feverish and been arrested for indecent exposure, well, Becker's arrival could have been a lot more awkward. But the confusion wasn't unheard of. Until Connor had explained everything after bailing her out and getting Rex back, she had been convinced of the anomaly theory as well.
And it was the incident she was thinking about. Okay, so at least she wouldn't have to fill him in on everything that had happened on top of this entire situation they were in. That was good. But right. Paying. She already had the money from her boss for the paper anyway so giving it to the vendor, the blond went back and joined Becker, nodding at the question.
"Yeah. My office at the Animal Sanctuary. I have a couple of classes for tour groups to do in a bit, but I can get you set up there and answer questions until then."
If there was one thing working for ARC got people used to, it was cover stories and keeping questions to a minimum or spoken in code until it was safe. Motioning the military man to follow her, she instead pointed out specific landmarks so he could at least get himself familiar with the area. If there was anyone she could expect to be able to keep up with such things and would want to know those things, it was Becker.
Stepping into the sanctuary, Abby headed towards her office, introducing Becker as her brother if asked before heading to her office.
"So. Right, not an anomaly, instead Biblical Seal that likes to drag people from different worlds and times. Even more unpredictable than an anomaly because there's no alert or sign or anything."
