Martha had deliberated for quite some time before contacting Sir Guy of Gisborne. She was, generally speaking, incredibly supportive of Rose and her relationship- however that was defined- with the medieval man. But that didn't mean she didn't have concerns. Of course she did. Guy was somewhat infamous and his temper had caused, well, issues in the past. And there was still Rose's feelings for the Doctor. And Marian was in the city as well, and as much as she was very clearly with Robin, that didn't mean things were all simple there either.
Add it all together and it left Martha feeling that really, words might need to be said. Not threatening ones, completely calm ones. But serious ones nonetheless.
Still, she did approve of the bar choice. It would have been easier in a way to go to the Roadhouse, where drinks were free. But there were also crowds, and people who knew who they were, and the potential to talk rather too much. At least in this bar there was a nice amount of anonymity.
When she arrived, she was dressed much as she had when she traveled with the Doctor, jeans and the jacket Rose had bought for her for Christmas. Though the changes in her life since those carefree days also showed in her dress sense. Flat boots, in case running was needed. And the slight glint of the chain of her UNIT dogtags tucked under her shirt.
She approached the table where Guy was sitting with a small smile. There was no need to start this off as a confrontation, though neither was there some beaming smile as though they were close friends. Not yet. "Sir Guy," she nodded slightly, respectful as she was, as she sat down opposite him. "Thank you for meeting me."
