Who: Victoire Weasley & Peter Parker
What: Arriving in Lawrence by surprise!
Where: In Tooooown.
When: Dec. 24
Status: In Progress
Rating: Medium, I never know what she'll say.

Vic hated splinching cases. They were the worst thing that she could think of in the damn world. They were gross, took a whole lot of stupidity on the person who'd messed up's part, and it was a pain in the ass to deal with them and get them to the healers. Vic would rather deal with anything but a splinching case. Once she had enough time in the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad she was sure that she'd stop getting sent to deal with those and be able to stick with other things. Anything but Splinching was awesome as far as she was concerned. She always went when she was asked to. That was why even though Vic had just sat down at her desk to take care of some paperwork regarding another incident from the day she didn't groan or refuse to move when she got the notice, rather abruptly, about a splinching case. Of course, inwardly, she was definitely not happy, but she said nothing.

Instead she just stood up, grabbed her wand, and poof. Only the poof didn't take her where she meant to go. When Vic appeared....it was not at the destination that she had intended. In fact, upon looking around, Vic realized that she was nowhere near where she thought she was supposed to be. Was that a field in the distance? Where the hell was she?

Vic moved, walking. She was smart enough to tuck her wand into her robes. She knew better than to let muggles see her with one. The question was....how had she managed to wind up here? After she rounded a corner Vic saw a sign and it caused the expression on her face to go from somewhat neutral to a mixture between pissed and confused. How the hell was she in Lawrence....and where the bloody hell was Lawrence exactly? She didn't know, but she definitely needed to find out.

She was getting looks, though, and Vic was smart enough to put two and two together and know that it was her robes that people were looking at. It was too bad that underneath that she was wearing a tank top and a pair of jeans. So, taking the robe off wasn't the best idea at the particular moment. Vic continued to walk, trying to figure out to go...or that was until she saw an extremely familiar face. She didn't waste a second marching up to her ex boyfriend. "Where are we?" She asked, lifting an eyebrow. She was not shy about asking this. Had she accidentally used a damn...portkey somehow? She didn't know, but she hoped Teddy had some answers.

Peter had not realized, until way too late into the week, that he still had Christmas gifts to get. So, he had done the extremely ridiculous thing and braved the stores around Lawrence for last-minute shopping today and hoped like hell people wouldn't be able to tell it had come last-minute.

He was walking back to the complex, bags still in his hands when a girl with fiery red hair approached him and asked him something. It took a second longer than it should have for her words to register because he was momentarily distracted by the fact that she seemed to know him. "Uh, it's Lawrence, Kansas. Uhm, do...do we...know each other?"

Vic was so un-amused by all of this. If she didn't get to that splinched person...well, she'd probably end up in some trouble. She didn't think her job was the most amazing thing in the world, but she really wanted to keep it. It was a good job. So, the fact that she had been pulled away from it this way, definitely didn't bode well for her mood.. That was unfortunate for those around her, actually.

Teddy had to have answers, though. If he didn't he'd at least be able to help. Or she hoped so, anyway. With the luck she seemed to have today....he'd probably trip and manage to knock her over along the way. and then she'd be dirty and pissed off by the whole thing. That wouldn't be very good for anyone.

It registered a moment late that Teddy had hands full of shopping bags. And...upon a bit of closer inspection he didn't have his wand at all. Unless he'd found somewhere else to tuck it. His response to her question definitely irked the fiery redhead. "Teddy, are you bloody kidding me?" She glared at him, unashamed. "I know I broke up with you, but you don't have to be a git!" She lightly swatted his arm, resisting the urge to punch him or something. "And why are we in Lawrence, Kansas....that's in the states, isn't it?" Vic asked with a furrowed brow.

"Wh-oh! No, you've got the wrong guy. I'm not Teddy. I'm Peter. Right face, wrong guy." he babbled a bit. It was all coming together quite quickly and he knew she was, quite unfortunately, another new arrival into this ridiculous war. "And, for the record, I'm not just saying that as a really lame way to avoid you or anything, I'm really not him. But I know him! I could get you to him. But I guess you might be more interested in the why you're here part before the finding people you might know part..." Again with the rambling. It probably had something to do with the fact that the girl in front of him was kind of intimidating.

"Yeah, you're in the states. Uhm, the year, it's twenty-twelve. Almost over, though...tomorrow's Christmas. But, uhm, yeah, how about you come with me back to the complex? I can explain everyting on the way and...it's safe there."

His reaction was pretty hilarious, actually. Vic had never seen a guy react quite like this. Even Teddy wasn't on this level of tripping over himself, as a general rule of things. Though, what he was saying didn't make sense. "Your name is Peter?" Vic asked for clarification, her right eyebrow lifting up. He certainly didn't act completely like Peter, but he looked exactly like him, minus the fact hat Teddy liked to change things about himself at times. Wow, he really was a rambler. "Wait, so Teddy is here?" Vic asked, getting confused. Teddy was here, but there was also this bloke with Teddy's face named Peter? What the hell was going on? "How do you look so much like Teddy? And why am I here? " Vic asked, all of it sort of coming together in a stream of thought.

Vic couldn't help but shake her head a little bit at him giving her more information. "This doesn't even make sense....." Vic told the guy, lifting a hand up to her face. It was the day before Christmas. And the year and she was in the states. Vic couldn't help but eye him warily as he offered to take her somewhere.

"I'll go with you, but you try anything funny and I'll---" she was going to say hex, but then realized that wouldn't be wise. "I'll kick your arse." She finished, eyeing him, wanting him to know she meant business. And really if he did try anything she'd hex him into last year. "Start talking, Peter."

"Yes, I'm Peter," he nodded when she asked. "He is, yeah, and I don't actually know how to explain that part. I think it has something to do with genetic makeup somehow duplicating in alternate universes or something."

"I know, it's a lot and we haven't even scratcxhed the surface yet, but I swear, no funny business from me." he nodded, leading the way down the sidewalk in the direction of the complex. As they walked, he started to explain everything from the alternate universes, to the broken, magic seal and Lucifer's war, he explained how there had recently been an attack of demons and monsters on the city. "...And that's probably more than enough to make your brain feel like it's going to explode..." he remembered what it had been like when everything had been explained to him. It was a lot. And even more for people making leaps through time.
