Harmony Lane [Narrative]
Early hours Sunday, December 16, 2012; A hotel in Lawrence
Arriving!
PG-13 (because Harmony swears A LOT)/Complete
was, but as soon as she found him, she was gonna kill
him.
The last thing Harmony remembered was Harry's little "dream girl" ramble and then him kicking her out of the hotel room for her confession about Chook Chutney. So, the fact that she woke up in the hotel room again, and alone, was rather strange. She didn't remember coming back up. Apparently, that last shot of tequila had gone to her head worse than she thought. But where was he?
"Harry?" She called for him, but was greeted with silence. She ran a hand over her face and sighed. "Come on, Harry, don't make me chase you." she mumbled, getting out of the bed, greeted with much colder air than she'd expected. She grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around herself before going to investigate. As she started to wake up a bit more and became more aware of her surroundings, Harmony realized this was definitely not the same hotel. "Harry?" she called out again, panic starting to rise in her voice.
The door to the room swung open and a man who was most definitely not Harry Lockhart walked in. Harmony froze, unsure of who he was and what either of them were doing here. She should really stop drinking so much. Memories were a good thing to have in these situations. "Hey there, darlin', how'd you get in?" His voice made her cringe. He sounded like one of those guys who thought he was really suave and tried way too hard and completely failed at it all together in the process without even realizing it.
"Uh...I was...kinda hoping you knew." She admitted, a nervous chuckle bubbling passed her lips. "Cause I have no idea. Do...do you know Harry?" Please know Harry. Oh, for fuck's sake, please know him. she kept that bit to herself as she watched him, tring to gauge something about him besides how incredibly fake he was.
"No," he shook his hed, "But I can be anybody you want me to be, baby." The smirk that spread across his lips just made the incredibly horribly fake tanned face look more rubber than human.
"Oh, are you serious?" she couldn't stop the laugh hat errupted at that. "No," he shook her head, still laughing. "I'm sorry, but....no." she shook her head again and let the blanket she'd wrapped around herself fall to the floor. "Look, I...I have to go." she walked right by him, still laughing at the pathetic man she'd left standing just inside the hotel room, dumbfounded. She headed down to the lobby of the hotel and a short talk to the front desk woman later, Harmony's head was spinning. Kansas. She was in fucking Kansas. Seriously?! She didn't know where Harry was, but as soon as she found him, she was gonna kill him.
