Despite having led a colorful and exciting life as the Pimpernel, Percy was fairly certain the amount of things he'd experienced here in Lawrence in the two months he'd been here were far more exciting than anything he'd experienced while undercover in Paris. But of course, one couldn't really compare these two worlds. Paris in the time he and Marguerite were from was torn apart by human hands. The things that happened here seemed, by and large, to be done by the Devil's hands. In some ways, it didn't seem like he'd been here for two months, it seemed like he'd been here far longer.
Even with everything that had happened between him and Marguerite, both here and at home, Percy was more than relieved that they were back to the easy teasing. And the fact Marguerite was doing so even while still sick was a very good sign, according to Percy. They'd come through a lot, and he did know that Marguerite had believed him to be dead, but she did seem to have moved past that belief now. And that was the important part.
Oh Percy knew Marguerite wouldn't allow him to get away with antics the way Jane did with Lisbon. In fact, she had called him on one in this world all ready. And really, he wouldn't expect her to just go along with his antics. Unless a situation with Lucifer required Percy to utilize his undercover skills again, but if that case ever did pop up, he'd discuss it with Marguerite first. Because he wasn't about to turn around and do that again without her knowing he didn't mean it or why he was doing it.
"All right, my dear. Rest well," he said with a smile. While Percy could be quite insistent that Marguerite rest, he hadn't been as overbearing as he could be since the craziness had calmed down. Marguerite had shown that she could take care of herself and know when she needed to rest. So he allowed her to monitor herself now that there wasn't the added threat of imminent death on their doorstep. So for the time being, he would see if the History channel had anything interesting on, and then join his wife in bed later.
