She so desperately wanted to tell him that she was wrong, his friend was, in fact, there. But Much deserved so much better than this place. He deserved better than Nottingham. The truest friend her husband had ever known, the man had always supported the pair of them. He didn't deserve to see Robin like this. Not again, anyway.
And she knew when he said 'home', he didn't mean their flat upstairs. Or maybe he did. Personally, she'd still prefer it. But she wasn't going to say it because she wouldn't hurt him and mentioning the reason she'd quite obviously prefer 2012 Lawrence over 1193 Nottingham would most certainly hurt. He was already in enough physical pain. No need to bring up his emotional traumas as well. "You'll heal soon enough. You're young and healthy, of course you will. Won't be using that arm for a bit, though." Which would be miserable for him. But at least she wouldn't have to worry about him getting hurt again for a while.
